Volker Sorger is the Walden and Paula Rhines Endowed Professor in Semiconductor Photonics at the University of Florida. His research focuses on devices and optoelectronics, functional materials, photonic integrated circuits, AI accelerators, mixed-signal ASICs, advanced packaging, machine learning workflows, and digital twins. He has received numerous awards including the PECASE and fellowships from IEEE, SPIE, and OSA.
