Prof. LIU Yang Veronica

Before joining PolyU, Dr Yang Liu was an Associate Professor at Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR), Tsinghua University. She was a Principal Researcher and Research Lead in the AI Department of WeBank, China from 2018 to 2021. Her research interests include machine learning, federated learning, trustworthy AI, statistical mechanics and applications of these technologies in the industry. She received her PhD from Princeton University in 2012 and her Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in 2007. She holds more than 30 patents. Her research has been published in leading scientific conferences and journals with over 20,000 citations.
