Fu-Chen Hsiao received his B.S. in physics from the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan in 2010, M.S. in photonics from the National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan in 2012, and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2021. Prior to joining the North Carolina State University faculty, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NC State. Hsiao’s research focuses on semiconductor material and device physics. His research encompasses the modeling of electronic, optical and transport properties of semiconductors and nanostructures, photonic integrated circuits and semiconductor optoelectronic devices.
