Benjamin Peherstorfer is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics at NYU's Courant Institute. His research interests are in computational mathematics, machine learning, computational statistics, numerical analysis, and scientific computing, with a focus on model and dimensionality reduction, high-dimensional statistics, recovering dynamical-systems models from data, and Monte Carlo and Bayesian methods, driven by applications in physics, chemistry, and engineering.
